Introduction to Paper Crafting Supplies Storage

Hi everyone!

If you've noticed from my photos, my background is always the same.  I take photos in my craft area, on my craft table, because it's the most neutral area in the house.  The space has warm pin lighting, and strong task lighting.  (I'd really like to call it my Craft Studio, but I think that may be taking it a bit too far, LOL.)

Not many of you know that I paper craft.  I make mostly cards, but I also dabble in making bookmarks, notebooks, etc.  I got started doing this about 2 years ago now, and I enjoy it immensely.  It's therapeutic.  And its being a craft where the primary purpose is to give it to others floats my boat.  (:  I also love that it comes in really handy when I want to make something for my Filofax.

(I have posted a few photos of my cards on my Flicker page, if anyone is interested.)

Paper crafting as a hobby is rife with storage possibilities and potential, as any crafter will tell you. You can get really creative with the storage you use to make the space work for you.  Most of the storage in my craft area are repurposed/refurbished/restored, and given new life with a little bit of paint, mostly white.  Some I had custom-built to suit my needs.  Overall though, I wanted storage that had things out because if they were hidden away, I'd forget to use them.  I also didn't want to be digging into drawers for stamp pads, ink, etc. (Although some bits and bobs are in drawers.)

Because I have a small work area, I had to go vertical and use the wall in front of me.  I took inspiration from other crafters (Crafty Storage is a haven for ideas).

I'll be showing you soon the different storage solutions I have employed to organize my Craft Studio.  (OK, I caved and will refer to it as my Craft Studio because it sounds better, LOL).  In the meantime, here's a photo.  See you again soon for more.

Thanks for visiting!
