Stamping in my Filofax

Hi everyone!

I have never got on with decorative stamping in my planner/s because the ink always bled through to the other side and it bothered me.  The only stamping I ever did was with the Muji to do stamp.

When I first got that, I picked up the box stamp as well and never really found a good use for it -- until now!

I did a few things to test it out and quite liked it.

Initial testing, notes pages.

Filofax notes pages

Dotted grid Muji paper

A further attempt.  I stamped out 12 boxes and used calendar washi tape to label each box.  I coordinated the ink to match the color on the washi tape.

Here's how I plan to use them.

1)  2015 Forward Planning.  Filofax doesn't have any inserts like this so it's a good way to forward plan with my own pages.

2)  Birthdays and Anniversaries.  I plan to use the months to jot down birthdays, anniversaries, and other yearly occurences.  This will be on file in my Home Binder as I have all birthdays written down on my Month-at-a-Glance.

I used mostly Stampin' Up ink so they do bleed through to the other side so I will only use the front pages.  If you do stamp in your Filofax, what ink do you use that doesn't bleed through?

And I'm sure you can think of other ways to use this stamp if you have it.  And when you do, please share, I would love to see what you did!

Thanks for visiting!

  2. It looks very neat and colourful. You could also use the stamp to make something stand out a bit more on diary pages. :)

  3. I use VersaMagic Dew Drops, they don't bleed and has lots of lovely colors. Both light and dark colors. Thank's for your tip to stamp the boxes. I have these stamps and never use that box stamp.
